I've had mine for a year and a half so far and couldn't be happier with it. No worrying about pills or prescriptions. No awful study effects either. But that being said, birth control works different for everyone. So there's no guarantee it'll be one way or another for you. If you have no bad side effects with other birth controls but just hate taking pills, then I would definitely recommend it.

I hated mine. I had it in for a year & a half. It gave me horrible cramps, back pain, & migraines. Before I even got the mirena I NEVER had back pains. Now I have them all the time.. I blame the mirena for it. After I got it taken out I was like a changed woman lol. But birth control works differently with everyone, so maybe you'll like it.

Also I did have to go back to make sure they could find the strings and to make sure it was intact and to check if I was dealing well with it

I have the mirena and so far so good. I had mild cramping and I did spot and bleed for a few weeks but it hasn't given me any issues

I wouldn't recommend birth control at all. It's terrible for your body.
