Ladies can you help me. Does this statement mean that if I am breastfeeding, and get told to leave or go to the restroom…

@beebaby , I wasn't sure. When I lived in VA you could feed anywhere and even if they told you to leave you didn't have to. But this is the stated law here in NC and I didn't know if I had the wrong or right understanding of it.

I grew up in NC. Feed anywhere.

I am not going to sit in a dirty bathroom where sick people with dangerous viruses vomit, diarrhea, cough and sneeze. Many people don't even wash their hands unless someone else is watching them. No thanks that is NOT a place to feed my baby.

@dhamiphoenix I would never feed in a restroom because it's so unsanitary and I wouldn't personally want to eat in a restroom either. I just didn't know if the law had stated that if I get told to cover up or leave that I have to.

No you have full right to feed anywhere even if the nipple shows during a detachment or latch on.

That law you posted is part of the long list of indecent exposure and this is the "exceptions" part.

And honestly even if it was against the law we breastfeeding mothers need to rise up and fight back for our babies and our bodies. Our bodies are not sex objects for men! We will not be treated this way!

I breastfed without a cover at the Mall of America. I was never once told to cover up or had any rude comment said to me.
