Anyone married to a guy in the air force? My husband is planning on enlisting... I have mixed feelings about it. Anyway, what are the pros and cons of being an air force wife. I know nothing about military. 😂

My husband was army for the first four years of our marriage. The deployment was the hardest a year away with only two weeks off during to visit home. We didn't have kids during that time and it was difficult . Good luck in whatever you pick

My father was RECON Marine and was gone for the first few years of my life. Lots of traveling and training for missions but it left my mom and I alone most of the year. Home for 2 weeks and gone for 6 to 9 months across the world with no real way to contact us. It was hard on our family.

Now my dad did some hard stuff in the Marines but that is what he signed up for. IDK what your guy wants to do in the Air Force and what the job lifestyle is made up of. Some families have an easier time being together but it won't be like a 9 to 5.

My husband was in the Marines. It's not for the faint of heart. You have zero say in where he goes and for how long and sometimes you don't even have warning. There are books on being a military wife and how to survive it. I suggest reading them so you don't get side blinded by a unique and hard way of living.

Learn to like being alone and raising your kids without the help of your spouse.

My sons father travels

For a living and comes home on the weekends it's the hardest thing ever cause it's just me and my son, I always told myself idk how wife's who husbands are listed in the military do it!! But whatever u guys decide all u can do is support its one of the best decisions ur husband can do the benefits the security of being established in a good paying career , they pay for his schooling if he decides and they help out on getting homes , and his future is set .. cons is that they are away ... the air force did change there deployed lengths tho last year so just look into it
