Okay so a question. I have been on depo for 3 years and may 16 is the last day of my current shot. I have noticed that I've gained some weight and have some other signs of pregnancy, i.e mood swings, loss of taste for food I use to like, my breast did swell and were sore but haven't been now for a few weeks now, nausea, sensitive to some smells.. I have taken a home pregnancy test but it came up negative. But I feel pregnant with bloating and being very tired with some back pain. Also by now I should've started my period but have not gotten it yet. I know depo can cause some of these things but I know how I feel after it gets close to renewal. And none of the normal stuff is happening. And idk how to feel because im hoping I am but at the same time I'm not with going into college next semester. (I'm 19 and been out of school for a year with a part time job) I just don't know what's going on. Has anyone else experienced this and what should I do?

Idk the details exactly but an acquaintances daughter was on the depo and was pregnant and didn't know until she was 6 months!! Personally I don't see how with baby movements etc as far along as she is but to each their own, my SIL is a doctor and told me they lose their effectiveness the last few months when I asked about forms of birth control after I have this baby.. U may need to see your OB/gyn @angalstarj90

@mrs.collins I was going to schedule an appointment with my Dr to see if I can switch to the pill. I can ask then. Should I just bring it up with them and tell them how Ive been feeling. I've also heard the blood test is much more accurate too. Thank you I've just had no one to talk to and I don't want to freak out my boyfriend and I've been with just work and home so no social life.

Most bc make your body feel like youre pregnant too, some make you crave, get headaches, and gain weight, they have differnt side effects depends on the person. Doesn't always mean you're pregnant, but when you take the next shot they have to give you a preg. Test

Even if you go to the Dr just to switch birth controls, they will still give you a pregnancy test. But I would see a doctor as soon as you can and tell them how you've been feeling. Even if you're not pregnant, It might be something different causing your symptoms x
