I believe every situation is differnt. Im proud to have my step dad as my dad. And im proud that ive been a step mom to a child where the mother wanted nothing to do with him. I agree if the mother is good and loves her kids takes care of him ect. But theirs also shitty moms that want nothing to do with their kids. Just like shitty dads. Depends on the situation.

@laciemarie, exactly! If they're in and out of the picture I don't think they deserve the title honestly. My moms friend just got a Mother's Day gift and honestly when she said that all I said was "why". 1 you took care of your partners kid every once in a while. 2 you didn't give birth to him. 3 you practically didn't raise him. The only thing is that she's on his birth certificate. Just baffled me honestly. They think it's easy to be a mom. And that's coming from a single mom. Maybe I'm just over thinking it. Lol

I understand! If a step mothet steps in as a 24/7 parent while the bio parent goes to party and gives up on the kid ect i believe they deserve to be titled as mother. But if they just oh every othet weekend step moms and bio mom is their for kid then no step mom is step mom. 😊😊😊

@haleybae, yeah I think that depends also cause I see some step parents only worrying about themselves. And what they're needs are and not sacrificing like a parent does.
