@nelly1991, my daughter climbed out of hers at 9 months... so maybe just pushing her crib up to your bed will make more financial sense... just make sure the crib mattress is lower than your mattress by a couple of inches... then they can't accidentally roll into your bed!

@nelly1991, I actually have a 'co-sleeper' it attaches to the bed... so they have their own 'safe space' but they are close enough, and I seriously slept better!

@nelly1991, we tried directly going to the crib after she climbed out of the 'co-sleeper bed' that attached to my bed... and after 3 horrible nights I was like I'm going to loose my mind if we don't do something different! That was our solution and I'm SO glad that we did! Worked out well, and everyone got more sleep! 😅

Here is what I did... I took the side off her crib, pushed it against the wall, and pushed my bed up to the crib... then she was 'in her crib' but was close enough I could touch her, and she could smell me... after about a month, I pushed the bed away a couple feet and put the side back on the crib... after a couple weeks, I moved the crib across the room... and then a few more weeks we moved her to her own room... the transition was almost seamless... there were a couple rough night, during teething... but you will have that no matter what!

@nelly1991, oh ur crib training? Ugh god bless mommas that co sleep and are doing the transition of the crib. I crib trained mine when she out grew the cradle around 4 months and that was even kinda hard. I couldn't imagine doing that when there a little older but you'll get it momma, just takes time.

It's not for everyone... you have to do what works best for you and her... I could not do the 'cry it out' method! I tried that for a few days and she literally cried for over an hour EVERY TIME! So finally, when I was completely frazzled, I'd go in and talk to her ask her questions and try to figure out what was wrong... I know my daughter won't want to 'snuggle' for long... and now she's almost 2, I will still give her the option of a snuggle before her nap/bedtime... usually it's only 3-5 minutes and she's ready for bed... but occasionally if she's stressed or had a rough day it might be as much as 15-20 minutes... then she's reaches for her bed and I put her in, and she falls asleep by herself... it works for us... keeps my stress down!

@nelly1991 if it doesn't work for you, it doesn't work...go with your mommy instinct. Sure it sucks having a bad sleeper, but they do learn eventually. I figure, I'd feel less Guilty about telling a 4 yo to go back to bed, than letting my toddler bawl his eyes out.

I only let my baby cry for five minutes then I go in and get her. I can't do the whole cry it out thing, it breaks my heart

@dmm1976 I feel so bad. But I know she needs to sleep in her bed. But just hearing her cry sucks

My DH will never let our 19 month old cry. And I'm still getting up 3-4 times a night to soothe him...I wish we would have sleep trained.

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

🙅RANT🙅😥 Posted this on baby bump today I was super excited to buy it because it's adorable!! I literally got responses saying... I wouldn't put that on her it may irate her little legs.. Or.. This is cute but wait till she's old enough to Sit up for pictures.. Or.. Ur not letting her wear that home are ya because that will be uncomfortable for her.. Or.. That looks to big for her.. (mind u this isn't my first baby it's my 7th!).. I actually had to delete it because of the rude comments! Smh 😥 I'm sorry but I'm feeling pretty low because maybe I shouldn't have bought it.. Cry cry sniff... Feel like hiding 😢
