Does anyone know what a yeast infection on a baby looks like? Im not sure if its a diaper rash or if its a yeast…

When my son had a yeast infection, it looked a lot like a diaper rash. I don't remember if it was bumpy or not, but don't use any cream!! It will seal in the moisture and make it worse!! Just use baby powder and try to keep the area as dry as possible, even if it means extra diaper changes :(

@aliceliayers Yikes I didnt know that the diaper rash cream can make it worse and i have been using A&D cream and I thought baby powder is bad for babies?

And it does look alot like a diaper rash but im not sure because when she has had a diaper rash before it didn't look that bad. It doesn't seem to bother her when I wipe her tho but it does when she has peed or pooed.

@celiesmommy01, this is basically the best place to use baby powder XD use an old powder brush to apply it doesn't get anywhere you don't want it. A&D is just as bad, it locks in the moisture making the yeast grow. 🙁

@aliceliayers Oh my im going to stop using the cream then....😥Im going to get her insurance fixed tomorrow that way she can go to her doctors appointment.

@celiesmommy01, once the yeast infection clears up you can use the cream again! It's not what caused it!
