Hi ladies, I'm new to this and have a question. I have a 2yr old whose currently in daycare. After I picked her up from daycare I noticed after she was holding her mouth her gum is swollen. I looked in her mouth and her two front teeth one of those looks pushed back and the other is loose. So I went back to the daycare to ask what happened and wasn't told anything because they have no idea. The ladies that care for her in the day time was gone the young lady who had her only received her an hour before I came. The director assured me this will be talked about tomorrow when everyone comes in. Noe my question is my daughter isn't complaining of pain but as you know she can't chew with her front teeth like she's use to that's the only time it hurts and if you touch it. Should I take her to the doctor? My husband is telling me no. And tomorrow I will hopefully see a dentist for her. But I feel she needs to see a doctor but she acts out when strangers touch her that's why my husband telling me no. Any suggestions please.

I would take her to the dr better to be sure and to have proof you took her if the issue was worst than what ur thinking I would be so mad hope u get answers

Thank you I'm going to take to her doctor tomorrow and hopefully a dentist can see her tomorrow also. She's not complaining of pain unless she touches it so I'm not going to the emergency room.

I hope you called your pediatrician right away. You might even want to make a police report. You know that daycare center is in a lot of trouble for not calling you right away & tell you what happened. I have 2 kids in daycare myself. I get called at work for a runny nose & you don't think getting your teeth knocked out deserves a call!!!???? You should also change daycare centers immediately. Good luck & I hope you child is ok

@sebring24 this happened Wednesday is it too late to make a police report. I took her to her doctor and dentist the next morning. I didn't take her to the ER( wish I would've) because she wasn't in pain. The daycare administrator hasn't called to check on my daughter or apologize for what happen. I called the daycare license administration and they wasn't any help still haven't gotten answers

It's never too late & the behavior of the daycare center is unacceptable. The police station should be open 24/7. You'll probably have to bring your child for pictures to make a case. Call your local police station now. Run. You are not over reacting. You are protecting you kid & others. Can your child speak. Did your child say what happened.

@sebring24 my child can't say what happened she's just learning to put her words together. Also they daycare claim that at 12am the video deletes. I came to them at 6pm instead of her doing her job if that's true she went home and didn't look into it further.
