BIRTH STORY TIME!
I went in to be induced on Wednesday and contractions started at 10:30 that night. On Thursday at 12 my dr came in and broke my water and then contractions got STRONG fast. I made it to 3pm before epidural and only got it because my contractions went from front to back contractions and it was bad!! After 9 1/2 hours I was ready to push 45 mins of pushing and my little girl made her way into this world at 12:28am!!
When I started pushing my dr noticed that my baby was connected to my uterus and she had to be detached from it before I could continue pushing. Once detached I continued to push and as her head came through, my dr demanded I stop pushing because her cord was wrapped around her 3 times!!! (For anyone who has been through labor knows how freaking hard it is to not push) my husband didn't get to cut the cord because it had to be cut off in pieces so my baby was strangled. After my dr cut it from around her I started push again and it only took one last push and she was out! My epidural wore off as soon as I had to start pushing from my legs being in upright position.
After I had her, I tore BADLY! And had horrible blood loss and could feel myself starting to pass out as my dr was trying to stitch me up. I didn't get to hold her after she came out because the dr needed to start stitching fast! After being stitched they asked me if I wanted to hold the new baby and I just couldn't because I was beyond weak and tired.
Later that morning around 5am I was up and walking and loving on my little girl like labor never happened as the drs couldn't believe it!! My bleeding had even stopped!!!!!! Granted I still felt extremely sore but it wasn't to bad.
It was one of the most painful things I've ever been through but I wouldn't take it back because my 7lb 3.2 oz 20 inches long, baby is extremely perfect!
