@lovemel grapes are a supper food. They help prevent alot of things. I was eating grapes along side sweet stuff. So in the long run it helped. People dont normally see this, bc like you said most fruits make it worse bc of the sugar in them, but grapes seem to counter react it. Almost like how olives are full of bad fats, but instead they actually lower your blood pressure.

Yes I already eat healthy so it's like it makes sense but I really want to see my numbers and see what diet and joe I need to be eating from here on out. Thank you so much for your support and kind words.

@lovemel, and don't let them scare you too bad I was diagnosed a week before Halloween and had him a day after Christmas so all the best cooking I couldn't have but you can have a cheat day or 2 carson came out normal sized at 7lbs 9oz! Sometimes you'll be able to be diet controlled strictly others you may be put on insulin depending if you can't control your numbers. It's important to realize it's not anything you did! Your placenta is just making it difficult for your pancreas to produce the insulin needed

@lovemel, they should schedule you to see a diabetes educator who will help discuss blood glucose levels and how much carbs you need to eat during meals and required snacks. You'll test levels typically 4 times a day fasting and a hour after the start of each meal. I highly recommend if you have a Facebook join a Gestational Diabetes group they have on there they were so helpful with coming up with meal and snack ideas and support as well!
