So I found out at a very young age of 14 that I have PCOS, I'm now 21 and my partner and I have decided to start trying to concieve. I have spoken to my doctor's and I need to have some blood tests done once my next period comes and again 21 days later, after which I will be referred to a fertility clinic. I am very scared of what my results may be and what will follow. I was wondering if anyone would kindly share stories with me they may have on getting pregnant with PCOS and their journey ? Or any advice that I could use.
I would very much appreciate it. I have looked into medication such as metformin and chlomid which I am hoping my doctor's will prescribe me if necessary.
I have started taking vitamin E, D and folic acid aswell in hopes to help my body to be in a better state to concieve.
Thank you in advance for anything you may share with me :)
How is your cycle, is it irregular? have you done any of the home ovulation tests? xx
Most likely you will be able yo conceive naturally :)
I have PCOS, both systs and the syndrome, long story short: it took 1.5 years and 1 round of clomid to conceive our daughter, and she is perfect :) pregnancy was good and breastfeeding is going well :)
Still no period though and I will have to wait until I finish breastfeeding until I can take clomid again...
@cayleighnatasha indeed it is haha. Might even end up bumping into you one day lol. You never know xD it's happened to me before. X
@cayleighnatasha oh haha, funny enough I was gonna go there today as it was my day off :) I may be moving there in like August x
@chelsealuisasousa yeah eastbourne lol. X
It will happen when it is meant to happen xx
@unimummy yeah this is true. They've found a lot of ways around it. I hope it is just longer and nothing else. :) Will stay positive x
I think bad in the day people thought pcos meant not being able to conceive but technology and research has advanced so much that I don't think it effects it much nowadays . If anything might just take you a little bit more time to conceive xx
@unimummy thank you, I have family that are too, only my mum, my partner's mum and one of my friends know so I don't have many people to talk with about my worries so ofcourse i make it worse in my head. Xx
@cayleighnatasha hey, yeah I am. You near by? Thanks, I am trying :) x
Hi hun you from Seaford near brighton? Sorry hun i dont have any advice other than don't let it worry you to much and keep positive xx
I wouldn't let it worry you . I no plenty of people that have pcos that have conceived and are now parents xx
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
❤️Getting to know you❤️
Since our May group is growing strong and we have a lot of new mommies joining and sharing their bfp's...Thought it will be fun to get to know each other as we all share our pregnancy journey!
@kate_smith i do hope I can, thank you for sharing. I have never had a regular cycle since I started at 10 years old. I just bought 100 of them and started testing two days ago, cause I have no way of actually knowing when and if i ovulate without them. I am just finishing my period, but has been my first proper one in about a year as I have been on the implant x
