Sometimes pregnancy tests come out negative for women. They can do a blood test.

I know that's what I told her we might just have to go the emergency room and let them draw blood cause she doesn't have a regular doctor right now

If she was and had a miscarriage early on that could be the cause. Had a friend that took the same route your cousin is. Hope she's healthy whatever it is.
