Looks like a lip tie to me! And I'd guess it will effect the way her teeth grow in too, I mean she'll probably have a gap. I would take her to her pediatrician and tell her you want it fixed, or you want to be referred to a doctor that can... I think the younger you have it done, the less she'll suffer from the effects long term. I didn't mean you had to do it of course, congrats on the ears! I bet they look adorable! My daughter was so bald I had to glue bows to her head, so pierced ears made sense haha

The same day he was born my doctor snipped it in the hospital. It was super tiny, but was preventing him from latching. There was like 1 drop of blood. He's never had issues since with talking or anything, just the tip of his tongue is more heart shaped then round. Even if it hadn't been such an easy fix, I'd probably do it. But I also got him circumcised and had my daughters ears pierced as a baby .. I guess it's just you're own feelings on it. I had a friend as a teenager who was tongue tied though and he really struggled socially because he didn't talk normally..
