For me I had no help so I was taking care of a toddler and infant I had no time to rest or heal and so the pain for me was crazy painful - I'd say just make sure you have help and get lost of rest - they advise you not to be active right away and no stairs-

I haven't had a c-section but everyone i know that has had one. Got an epidural for their c-sections. @mireya44

@mireya44, it's a major surgery you'll need to be on some kind of pain killer during the procedure

Do you have to take epidural or anything or can I do it without pain meds?

Honestly for me it wasn't the worst thing ever but I do have a high pain tolerance. I had the c section at 6pm got meds that night around 9pm and that's it. I didn't need to ask for meds for my whole stay. They sent me home with meds I took them maybe twice and that's it. The painful thing was walking the day after when the nurses force you out of bed to stand and walk around. But other than that your body bounces back and heals itself. Then again depends on the person. Everyone is different 😊
