Im really bummed but I have finally come to terms with my low milk supply. After almost 4 weeks of taking supplements, pumping and supplementing with bottle due to my baby losing too much weight. I'm officially giving up on breastfeeding and just going to formula feed my baby. I wanted nothing more than to breast feed but due to health reasons I'm not able to keep a normal amount of breast milk to sufficiently feed my baby. It's so disappointing. I feel guilty and sad that I already can't give my son the best.
Thank you. Since you have thyroid issues like I do, I'm sure you know it's so hard and it's a totally different issue going on then a baby problem with nursing that you can correct. I guess there's a medication you can take to help with the hormones but it's probably too late for me to take them since my son is so used to the bottle now. @seckman813,
Awh, I'm so sorry to hear you struggling with this. With my now almost 3 year old I had the same issues. Because of my hyperactive thyroid I had to switch to formula. You are doing the right thing though as a mother which is making sure your baby is healthy. Hang in there beautiful!
It's okay mama, sometimes things just happen! An we drain ourselves trying to pump religiously. I know exactly how you feel an just how hard it is to come to terms with it :/ you gave him life ! You will always have a special bond with him no matter what. If you. Need to talk you can always message me! @goldilocksn4bears,
Don't feel guilty. Breastfeeding could either being the most beautiful thing or the most stressful thing it's not always the same for every woman. As long as your baby is fed it's the best thing for him. Even if the baby only got colostrum that's still really good. Don't be so hard on yourself your baby needs you to happy and not stressing over upping your supply.
I too am dealing with this right now!! It's okay it gets better. As long as baby is getting fed that's all that matters you've tired your. Best an sometimes things happen that we have zero control over. It's okay mama your still giving your little one the best life @goldilocksn4bears,
Don't be sad or feel guilty! As long as your baby is fed and happy nothing else matters. I went through the same thing and you are giving him the best that you can! You are an amazing mother and don't let anything bring you down!
