My baby just got out of the nicu. He was there for 24 days and I promise you it's the best news you'll get when you hear you get to bring him home. It might seem like it's lasting forever but it won't. My best advice is to take care of your self. You can't be much help to your little one without making sure your okay. My thoughts and prayers are with your family

@mrs.sims thank you so much its only been 6 days so far and I swear im going nuts its the hardest thing ever to step back and not be able to take them home and care for them the way you want to im so happy to hear you got to bring your baby home recently because i wouldnt wish this upon anyone its so hard leaving them!

It definitely is super hard. But if your baby is doing better than it shouldn't be too much longer<3 did they give you an estimate or goal time to go home?

@mrs.sims no i asked today and all they keep saying is they arent sure and they can't give a time he has been off the feeding and breathing tube for a few days now so his "goal bored" says he is just to gain and grow but it doesn't really seem like they plan on allowing him to come home anytime soon either

That's great that he's off those! That's the biggest steps! He'll be home in no time, even if it doesn't seem like it
