HELP, my little boy won't sleep for longer than an hour at night without waking up. He's nearly 6 months old and he used to be so good from being born would only wake up twice a night. We use white noise that used to send him straight back to sleep. But that doesn't help now he wants to be held. Then I put him back down and he wakes up straight away again. He takes longer naps in the day than he can sleep at night. What can I do? The only way I can get a good night sleep is that I cosleep but I don't want him to get used to it.

@lucyspear., he doesn't feed much in the day no more. More at night. But he's also teething. I just don't get how he can sleep for so long in the day but not at night xx

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

For 6 months, not once has my child slept though the night. He won't sleep anywhere but in bed with me. I can hardly move or he wakes up. He tosses and turns all night long even if he does sleep which keeps me up. He wakes up 10-20 times a night (from about 9pm to 5 pm) I'm left feeling so fucking exhausted and never getting more than 30 min of sleep at a time IF THAT. I can't function like this and I don't know how to stop him from comfort nursing and keep him asleep! Half the time he wakes up for absolutely no reason what so ever! I feel like I'm losing my mind and all I can do is scream and cry because I literally feel like I am living in a nightmare.

So my doctor says I have to start putting the baby in his crib at night and letting him cry it out when he wakes for a bottle. She says he should be sleeping 10-12 hours at a time by now (he only sleeps about 2-3 hours before he wakes wanting a bottle or pacifier). She swears if we do this it won't take more than 3 nights for him to adjust and start sleeping better. She says that he should only get 1-2 naps a day too and we should lay him down at night as soon as he starts showing signs of being sleepy like rubbing his eyes, not waiting until he's exhausted. - I just don't know if I can do it, letting him cry at night.. I just don't know. Has anyone else done this?
