My son is 3 weeks old, a month on Friday and he eats 4 oz every 3 hours. Does that seem like too much?

Does he arch his back or cry during his feeding? My baby has reflux and he would do those things and just keep eating more to soothe his throat which in turn made him spit up and hurt more. Vicious cycle

Oh weird? Has he always been on the same formula/whatever milk you're giving? Did you ask his doctor yet?

Honestly I never really listened to that whole feeding thing. I felt like if they are hungry feed them. I rather have full baby than a cranky hungry baby.

@rmreed, well I think it's too much too because he just spit it all up, but he screams and inhales it like he's starving, so I just don't know 😔

Seems like quite a bit but my doctor said 5 oz for that age is way too much. My son was eating like 2 oz around then! Every baby is different and he could be going through a growth spurt
