Yesterday was an aweful aweful day. I had to bring Will to the Dr. because the night before he ran 102 temperature and having difficulty breathing. He and I were in the lobby waiting to be called. Will would not sit still. He was acting crazy running around the lobby. I did not want the other kids to catch whatever it was that he had. So, yes, after 20 minutes of me telling him to sit and be still, I spanked him. It wasn't a very hard spank. It was on the butt and it got my point across. We were finally called to the back where his doctor examined him and then tells me that there was a complaint made. Someone from the lobby reported me saying that I "crossed the line" with my son. After a brief convo with the doctor, where I explained that I disciplined my child she left to go to the next patient. Maybe 5 minutes later I heard another knock on my door. Once I opened it I saw 3 police men standing there. Long story short....these people called the police and then child services all because I spanked my son when he refused to listen to me. This is my God given right. I, as a mother, have the right to discipline my child in a way I see fit. My child is NOT going to be one of these kids that go around acting obnoxious. This is what's wrong with this world. Anyone can look at my child and see that I am not abusing him.
