How much should a 3 week old preemie be drinking breastmilk? He gets super sleepy and never finishes

Breastfeeding doesn't have time or amount every time the baby wants to breastfeed do it it will increase your production and if he get sleepy try to wake him up try touching he's feet and grabbing gently he's cheeks the baby needs to drink milk

@jazzlienen, his doctor wants me to make sure he's drinking enough for the next two weeks by bottle feeding during day (pumping for me) and then breastfeeding at night. He nurses for 10-15 minutes but I have a feeling he's getting a lot! When I pump, in 8 minutes exactly I get 3oz. Fortunate enough to have enough milk!

@missjess, yes! And the chart says ~7lbs for weight and my son is 5lbs only. So I think I'm doing well.
