Had my first midwife appointment today!
This was just the intake appt. We went over my medical history, they asked us both a ton of questions. I had a pap smear done and I've been cramping since it happened, but the spotting stopped so that's good. (I just have a sensitive cervix, okay?! 😂)
They set me up on their app which has all the information they want me to follow over the next 7 (ALREADY?!) months.
I'm to eat 2600 calories, including 5 servings of fruit/veggies, and 60-75 g of protein EVERY DAY?! Seriously I have a full time job and there aren't enough hours in the day to eat that fucking much. I've never been someone who eats 3 full meals a day anyway. I'll try, but they're just going to have to deal with it not happening the way they want it to. I'm 5'1 and Kenneth is only 5'6, our baby is already going to be small as it is.
I go back for my ultrasound on Tuesday, I SO hope they can hear the baby with the doppler. I need this to feel real!
8 weeks and 2 days.

2600 is a lot though. I believe I read that you really only need 2300. Focus on nutritional food. But trust once food aversions end, your appetite will hit hard.

Oh don't worry lol your appetite will become a force to be reckoned with 😂 and just bc y'all are on the shorter side doesn't necessarily mean baby will be small. The food they are wanting you to eat is bc they want to ensure you and baby are getting the proper nutrients for fetal development, nothing to do with the size of your baby😊 good luck.
