So the other day my iphone stopped working and the screen went black so I got a new one through insurance replacement...I was under the impression all my pictures and videos were being backed up to google drive..turns out that isn't the case and now I've lost my THOUSANDS of pictures and videos (mostly of my son) and I'm freaking out. Is there anything I can do to get them back? (The IT guy at my moms work has been looking at it he is going to try replacing the screen in it) I'm just so nervous I won't get back all my pictures and videos of my baby..moments I can't get back 😭😩😭

I'm so sorry that happened! That's exactly what happened to me though. I never got my pictures back. I had 3 years worth of pictures and videos gone. U have a terrible memory to do I couldn't even tell you what all were on the pics.. That's why I took them. Sucks

If you have a samaung account could be backed up their, google photos? Try all the gmails if you have more than one.

@princess_xox, @beebaby, it's an iPhone so you don't have to set it up through google. I chose to back up my photos to google drive rather than iCloud and apparently only a select few were backing up...not sure why but I'm going to do everything I can to get them back. I can't not have them it's just not an option for me. I'll take it to a data recovery place and pay the arm and leg for them to get them off if that's what it comes down to.. 😔

You literally just need a new screen on that phone the LCD broke. Only takes like 10min to replace. Or you can have them put a new screen on it just for like 10min so that you can send yourself the pics.

@brendamariex3, @jcbaby, that's really good news because hopefully tomorrow he will be replacing the screen!!!! I tried to force restart it but idk if it even did anything. When you connect it to a computer is saying 56gb out of the 128gb I had is taken so they are still there!! Just got to grab them off it!
