My son is almost 16 months and he's just getting to where he's grasping recognizing different colors. He has said red and lifted a red block. We have also shown him a cow and explained that cows moo. After a little bit of us mooing, he was too! I think he'll be used to more of that kind of thing by the time he's 2.
