Ugh I just need to rant, can someone please teach my boyfriend how to be romantic, I swear he is the least romantic person in the world, today marks 2 years with him and I can't remember the last time he did anything even somewhat romantic, he has never once bought me flowers, and I'm not the type to want my boyfriend to buy me expensive stuff to show his love but I do ask for quality time together and it wouldn't hurt to maybe get flowers sometime or be taken out in the middle of an empty field and lay in the back of the truck bed and look at the stars, I know it's hard to do with kids but one time every once in awhile it wouldn't hurt to ask the grandparents to watch them for a romantic night now, and for my birthday I asked for an engagement ring, not an expensive diamond ring but a 25 dollar qalo ring, and I wanted to be engaged by my birthday, it didn't need to be nothing special bc this is my second engagement and I don't plan on a wedding or anything, well he got me the ring I wanted but instead of being sweet and proposing to me he threw the ring st me and said "here happy birthday" like wtf ugh, my relationship is lacking some serious romance 😒

@laciemarie, it's something we have talked about for a long time now and he knows it upsets me to have a different last name than both of my children and he's made bigger commitments to me than being engaged, we bought a house together and we have been through more in 2 years than most couples go through in a life time of being together so I didn't see a problem in expressing me wanting to be engaged.

He knows he's not romantic, iv expressed it more times than I can count and I'm constantly through the day sending pictures I find on Pinterest of cute date ideas and stuff and day after day it's the same old thing, get home from work watch tv, I'll go take a bath while he sits in the living room then we share a short kiss and go to bed, sometimes sex before bed but then no cudgeling or anything just roll over and go to sleep then wake up the next morning, he goes to work and I work from home then we repeat the process day after day and on weekends go to our sons baseball games then come home, chill at the house maybe go to the park then every night is the same as the last @laciemarie,
