I've had the Mirena for about 2 years now and it's been going good for me. Nothing effected my breastfeeding. Something that is one of the side effects to it is depression since it has to do with your hormones. But since I already had depression it hasn't gotten any WORSE since it's been in. 🙃

They say weight gain as well, but that's almost ALL birth control.

@_texas_mom_, thank you for responding and hopefully my depression doesn't get to bad ... and yeah your right about the weight gain I'm trying to lose the weight so hopefully it won't make it hard for me

So far for me I haven't gained a bunch of weight, just some weight from the baby. But it's not like I'm back to my pregnancy weight like some people get. 😊 My friends with the arm implant one hate it so much because they've gained so much weight. 🙈 Plus I like the Mirena as well because I very rarely get periods now, which is normal once it's there.

Oh okay yeah I had the one in my arm and hated it... it decreased my sex drive really bad I only had sex like 5 times that year and also I had a period 365 days of the year which also sucked so that's not a good option for me...
