Anyone try the lidl Toujours newborn nappies? Would love opinions. Size 1 only £1.15 for 22. Too good to be true?
Yeah it's only certain sizes though! But atm in stores 4 and 5 are 4 pound! And the rest are 2 for 10 or buy one get one free xx
@harlie_kariss £8? Kinda steep but i guess when you need it, you need it. Was just looking at them on the boots site and they're buy 1 get 1 free! Thought I'd share incase you didn't know.
Yeah Chicco do nappies they're about 8 pound! Which isn't too bad as a pose to pampers xx
My little girl is allergic to all nappies except Chicco! Which is a nightmare as only boots sell them! But I've tried all brands xx
@daniluvsdis I guess it really if different for everyone isn't it? I have no experience with any though. Pampers are really pricey. 🙈 £3 something first 22. I'll use them though if it's what works best but I'm just hoping to save a bit on nappies as babies are expensive even without that cost. That's assuming something cheaper works well for my child.
@ttcrainbowbaby, I use pampers and have from birth with my little one! Never had a problem at all! He can sometimes sleep 14hrs through the night! He's only ever leaked 4 times! Two explosive poos which would have happened no matter what & twice I think his dad & grandad put the on wrong and too loose! I won't use anything else!
I have also used sensitive Johnsons wipes since he was about one month & never had problems!
Each baby is different & each mummy is different! But I swear by pampers!! :) x
@winterbaby95 I plan on using wool and water at first too. The first 2 months I'm hoping. After that I'll try out wipes and see how things go.
@ttcrainbowbaby With Maya I used cotton wool and water with her until now :) and used the sensitive wipes on her once (5.5 months) and her bum went slighty red...So just never bothered with wipes but know plenty of people not have any problem with wipes....Also heard from other people some of the nappies causing nappy rash (especially the branded ones) :) but never had a problem with Little angels xx
@winterbaby95 my neices had really bad nappy rash with the tesco ones so I'm iffy about using those. Might try the sainsburys one.
@ttcrainbowbaby Yeah hun, think its just a money grabbing thing...branded things arent always the best :) Yeah...whatever suits your baby hun....a few of my friends recommended Tesco and Sainsburys own brand :) xx
@winterbaby95 Hmmmm.... I guess people just assume pampers are the best coz they're branded? And they probably do work different for everyone. I've bought a pack of the lidl and a pack of pampers. If I can I'll also get a hold of the little angels and see how my baby handles them. Guess it's all trial and error.
@ttcrainbowbaby I've used Asda since she was born :) I got given pampers in a nappy cake so used those ones up (while.she was still in size 1) and excuse my language but they were shit! Leaked wee and poo all the time! Horrible...For example Maya was in a.little angels nappy from 11pm and then woke up at 11am this morning and was still holding.. With the pampers...I would wake up to.her with a wet sleepsuit and vest only having worn them for 5 hours or something...But ive heard people having no problems with Pampers...but thats just personal experience from me xx.
I was told that I should exclusively use pampers for the first 2/3 months and only move to cheaper options after that? Anyone agree? Tbh I'd rather not spend any more on nappies than I have to. Will do whatever I'm best for baby though.
@winterbaby95 the asda nappies have great reviews. As do the aldi mamia nappies. Sadly I don't have asda or aldi near me or I'd defo try them first. Lidl is easy access to me.
I did...tried a.size 3 :) I liked them but have always used Little Angels 3packs for £10 (thats like 120 nappies) xx
Noolas in a size 4 atm xx
