Today is a pretty sad day for me. I have finally made the decision to stop breastfeeding. Most mom may think I'm the devil for weaning my little man at 7 months old but this wasn't an easy decision for me. There are parts of me that feel so much guilt. But simple put I can't do it anymore. He grabs/ claws my boob and bites my nipple which leave them so sore because of his new teeth. He will not sleep without being nursed to sleep. And my body image is suffering so much that I'm becoming depressed over it. I need to have my body back. And I need and want to be a good mother to my child and at this point the only way to do so is with a heavy heart and empty boobs

Try not to be mad at yourself... that stuff hurts! People ask me how long imma breastfeed and I say as soon as this little girl bite me, its OVER! Lol

There is no reason for you to feel bad about this! You made it 7 months which is way longer than a lot, myself included. I only breastfed for a month before I gave up. She wouldn't latch.

I'm trying not too. I always said the same thing too but after while it just became comforting for me and I enjoyed being able to supply for my baby. Then I made the decision to go for a year at least but for the past month or so I've been struggling with not wanted to do it anymore but continued too because I kept feeling like a bad mom for thinking I wanted to stop. But the way I feel about myself lately has got me not being the best mom I can be and I know breastfeeding is apart of why I'm feeling this way because I don't have control anymore and I just feel like a milk machine. And I know it's time for me to stop I'm sure the guilt will be gone once I see my little one can thrive just fine with formula

Don't beat yourself up. Breast-feeding was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I hated pumping more than breast-feeding. Till this day my husband can't touch my nipples without me feeling gross lmao. A happy mom makes for a happy baby. As long as you're doing what you think is best for you and your family that's all that matters.
