Hi beautiful women😊 I know I don't post much any more but yesterday was a complete whirlwind and I am now a mama of TWO❀️ our little man came this morning at 9:59am(just 5 minutes after that damn giraffe had her babyπŸ˜…) he weighs 5 pounds 5 ounces and he's 18 1/2 inches long!
So, some of you know that I have a baby girl who is 9 months old. She was born July 5 via csection. When I found out I was pregnant with baby #2, I was really scared about what that would mean since I had just had a csection. After much consideration with my doctors, we decided that a repeat csection was the best decision. I've had virtually no complications this pregnancy up until this week. Tuesday (33+4 weeks) I started having bleeding that resembled my bloody show and then ended up in the hospital Wednesday with contractions 8-10 minutes apart and they gave me the first shot of steroids for his lungs but sent me home after the contractions nearly stopped. Thursday, I woke up with contractions 3-5 minutes apart and extremely painful, so I headed back into the hospital and they started giving me medication to stop my contractions. They also gave me the second steroid shot for his lungs and then sent me home with 48 hours worth of procardia to keep my contractions at bay. The pills did their job yesterday but by the evening I was starting to feel contractions but nothing regular. This morning I woke up with contractions 5 minutes apart and I called my doctor, she instructed me to take another procardia and call her back in an hour with an update. The pill did not help at all so she told me to come in. When I got there, contractions were about 3 minutes apart and when she checked me at 9am, I was dilated to a 5. So we knew baby was coming. I just had to wait for my labs to come back before they could wheel me into the OR and give me the spinal for my csection. In that time, I started having heavy bleeding and by the time they wheeled me into the OR, my contractions were only about a minute apart. We get to the OR and my doctor looks at me and says "jessica, I'm going to check you again"😳 I was like "bishhhh no, you're cutting this baby out of me." So then she checks me and says "you're at a 10, you can do this. He is right there." Which was at 9:50. I pushed for 9 minutes and there he came. No pain medsπŸ˜… I still can't believe it! He's perfect!

@noemiix33, @athomas, thanks guys!
@dreamermom, he's actually not in the nicu! He's in special care nursery which is just a step down from that. He could be here anywhere from 1-2 weeks but he's doing really well so hopefully we can bring him home in a few days!

That's AMAZING!!! Your body decided it was doing a VBAC whether you liked it or not! πŸ˜… I'm SO glad everything turned out well for both of you! Is your little man going to be in the NICU for a bit?
