Okay, another question!! Sorry, first time mommy. Lots of questions. 😂 moms who use bottles, how many times do you let baby drink out of the bottle before you wash it and boil it???
@mcrowell0970, earlier I said I was nervous about her not eating enough you know?? Did Piper sleep pretty much through the night without eating so much? She's eating pretty good, I just worry about her not waking up to eat 😫😫😫
@annaerandolph, yea I don't waste money on stuff like that or wipes warmer! They really don't need much when they're young! Just lots of bibs, clothes, and blankets! 😹and toys ofc🤗
@elysiansmama, that's what I did 😁 yeah they look like they would come in handy. I was also gonna get a bottle warmer but I don't even know if I'll need it. Isn't room temp usually fine?
@annaerandolph, yeah ikr! She's been perfectly fine with it! I just use a pot and do the old fashioned boiling water! They do look convenient tho👀
@elysiansmama, I thought bottled water was sterile?? 😂😂 yeah we're kinda broke rn so I can't really go buy a crap ton of bottles. Yeah I've seen those!! I didn't know how they worked though
@annaerandolph, you may be able to find a sterilizer on offer up if you need one ! Ya know the ones u can just throw in the microwave
@annaerandolph, yea I only had four until I could afford to buy her more which was around four months, now she has 7! Don't stress, just use your gut if u feel like u need to sterilize then go for it! People would try to make me feel like I wasn't doing it right bc I'd just use straight bottled water, and didn't boil it or that her bottles were weird 😑
@annaerandolph yes you'll be fine doing that, soap and water works just fine I started off with four, got a little lazy and bought more lol. We have around 12 and just wash them and keep it moving.
@elysiansmama, yeah me either :/ I also only have 4 bottles right now until I can get some more. @haleybae, it's okay!! I was wondering if that would be okay to wait to boil once a week. @noirdiva83, that's what my sister-in-law said. She only boiled them right after she got them out of the pack and her daughter never had thrush or anything either
Honestly I only sanitized twice, only used hot soap and water after one use. My daughter has never had an issue with thrush, no illnesses at all and she's 8 months.
@annaerandolph, I rinse out then let soak with hot water and soap and then scrub n rinse until I boil them the next day. I don't have time to boil everyday
@haleybae, @noirdiva83, so y'all wash and boil them after the baby drinks out of them one time?? @dreamermom, that's kinda what I was thinking about doing but I just don't want her to get thrush or anything :/ I definitely am gonna wash her bottles every time after she eats, but I didn't know how often to boil them.
I wash mine after each use. Super hot water. And evetually after 2-3 uses it needs to be cleaned. I never boiled mine just made sure ot was always scolding hot water they soaked in with special bottle wash soap.
@annaerandolph, I actually used the microwave sterilizer bags that they use for sterilizing your breast pump parts to do the nipples and rings... I wash in such super hot water anyway nothing can survive it... not even my husbands hands! 😅😂 he always whimpers every time I make dish water! 😅
