I was told not to do anything except put A&D or Petroleum jelly on it until it's fully healed

You will need to put petroleum jelly on it for a minimum of 6 months to help prevent a common complication called meatal stenosis, which is where scar tissue causes the urethral opening to narrow to the point that it makes it difficult for the bladder to fully empty. There are varying degrees of severity of meatal stenosis, but it can become a big issue so it's best to at least try to take measures to prevent it from happening.

Put petroleum jelly on diaper so it doesn't get stuck to it. I never had to replace the gauze. The first gauze you wait until follow up appointment 24 hours later and they take it off. After that just Vaseline on diaper and it will heal within a week

Don't feel bad, I was scared with my second even tho I did it with my first. We had gauze and would put Vaseline on it the first couple days like they said . Then after we would put the Vaseline around his peepee so it wouldn't stick to the diaper and gentle wipe when needed. It healed really fast like a week I'd say. I know exactly how you feel tho, I use to cry when they would go in the car seat because I thought it was going to hurt them 😞

No baths until healed

I was asked to put gauze and protelum jelly on the penis, change it at each diaper change for 2 weeks. Went pretty well, we had a changing table so everything was always there. And didn't put any soap on it just water and gently clean it.

I was so scared when my son had his done. His doctor said to put a little bit of A&D on the diaper so his penis doesn't stick to the diaper. His also healed about a week later

My son's took about a week to fall off and it's healed already

No just leave it if he gets poop on it just wipe it gently

Oh okay you just got it done today. I had got it done at the hospital. If you look at his little penis you'll see a clear thing with a string around it that's the ring.

No don't feel like that it should not be painful or nothing for him. I had my son circumcise as well and the ring fell off 6 days later. He don't cry or anything when I wipe him. And there's really nothing you have to do just dont bath him until his ring and umbilical cord fall off
