Need some advice please! My daughter is 10 months and she doesn't fall asleep unless someone is holding or rocking her. Sometimes I can put her in her crib to fall asleep but very rarely. The cry it out method hasn't worked for us for 4 months. She just screams for hours and throws up and eventually hyperventilates. I'm not sure what to do to get her to start going to sleep on her own. What have you guys tried? What worked, other than CIO? #advice #10monthold
Before you do this, make sure you practice a few daytime rounds while staying up and supervising to make sure it's done right. Also consult her physician!
I've been having this problem myself and I started elevating him. I put a boppy in his bassinet and he sleeps way more now. I've heard of people using pool noodles too!! ссылка
@brendamariex3, I didn't even think to put a shirt in there with her! I will try that thanks
@brendamariex3, I use sleep music but she won't let me put her in the crib until she's asleep. If her eyes are heavy, she wakes right up and screams
@penelopesmama, yep! She likes to snuggle for a few, her eyes get heavy, but she does not sleep until she is in her own bed!
@dreamermom, thank you so much! So she can still fall asleep on her own? I just worry that she will never learn that skill if I keep snuggling her
At 10 months I still snuggled my daughter to sleep... I think at about a year old, the snuggle time reduced to less than 10 minutes before she was asleep enough to put her down... she is now 21 months, and at bed time we still ask if she wants to snuggle... she almost always climbs up in my lap, gives me some snuggles, then climbs over to Daddy gives him snuggles and after 3-10 minutes she it done and says bed... we put her in her bed and walk out of the room! I don't see any harm in that... she just needs some reassurance before she sleeps, and then 98% of the time she sleeps 11 hours straight!
She has a crib but we live with my parents so we share a room. I will try lavender thank you!
I put a pillow under her mattress when she's sick to help her sleep but if she's not sick she sits up and rolls down the mattress
