Could you be with someone who tells you what to do? When you can't have a drink but he has friends over and everyone's drinking but you. When he says you can't see your family(when family is a big part of you). Or when he says you can't go to your sisters wedding..? Gets mad when you take your kids to the park.

Been there in a 8yr marriage.... got divorced 7yrs ago. Thats controlling and he was very manipulative.
Hell no, he should not control your life in anyway. Why should he get to do whatever he wants but gives you shit for you trying to live your life?
No way love is not controlling like that! It's a give and take thing! If he loves and respects you then you should still be able to be yourself.
