So question for you Mommies that have older kids ages 12-13 years old how do you discipline your child? Do you think spanking with a belt is okay? Apparently my little sister went to her school today and told on my mother saying that she's abusive because my mother spanked her for my sister trying to hit her 🤔 the counselor completely made my mother seem like she was in the wrong and that it's the against the law to spank her child. I disagree if my kid tries to come at me and hit me yeah Ima whoop her ass 😂

If you leave a lasting mark it is considered child abuse. If it's red for a little and goes away they don't consider that child abuse but if it bruises or anything than it is child abuse. Got than information from a police officer in a health class.

That's so silly kids these days think an ass whooping is being abusive when I was little my mom beat me with anything she could reach and never once did I question her or threaten to tell anyone. lol girl My mom hit me when I was 15 with an extension cord and left me looking like a zebra lol any who school saw me and they call the social worker, social worker called DCFS made into a huge mess but since they asked my little sister if my mom was abusive and she said No they dropped the charges ... I mean schools will go on you like that ...
I understood why my mom hit me like that I ran away from home for 3 days lol so I pretty much deserved it.
I'm 20 and both my mom and grandma will still attempt to beat my ass if I even raise my voice at them even though I'm several inches taller and 60lbs heavier

@nessairieray there are other ways of discipline. If I need to spank my kids I will but it's not always Necessary .

I understand why your mom would spank her for trying to hit her, but at that age I wouldn't do it. My daughter is almost 11, and I haven't spanked her in awhile. I mostly discipline her by grounding her from her friends, or from her phone, or to her room. I just feel like she's too old to spank, but then again she's almost my size so it kinda freaks me out. Lol. 😂.
