Hii! It could be a number of things! It depends on the situation. Always fussy? Or recently? Breastfed? Formula? Baby's can be fussy for soooo many reasons like teething and even growth spurts!
When my kids were fussy I went through the list to eliminate issues: food?, Diaper?, Gassy?, fever?, Swaddle?, Sleep?. If she takes a binky, I would always try a nice snug swaddle with her binky and hold her and try different movements: bounce, rock, sway, maybe with a gentle pat to the back until she settled. Good luck girl!
My pediatrician told me there is such a thing as a 'fussy time'. It's consistent tho, like my son is fussy usually around 1 PM daily. If you've gone thru the list like vegasmomma said, my doc showed me a hold that calmed him right down. His head was down in her hand, and stomach was resting on her forearm with limbs dangling. I'm sure it has a name, I just don't know it.
If it's gas just pay attention to when she's having it. Maybe keep a food journal. That's how I found out both my kids were lactose intolerant. :( sorry mama! Hang in there!
