Is it just me or does anyone else feel the middle name should be something meaningful and important like a grandparents name or something? Thoughts?
I was named (middle name) after my biological father's mother who died of cancer when he was 9. But I let my husband name our daughter and he just always loved the name Vanessa Ray. It isn't important or meaningful. I don't even know what her name means to be honest. I don't believe I would name any of my children after a family member because I was never close to any of them other than one of my aunts who was and is always there for me. One of my sisters let other people name her five girls. And my other sister used names from the Bible for her five kids and also used names with meaning. Like our grandmother died a few weeks before her oldest daughter was born and she gave her the middle name of Kathleen (grandmother's name) to always remember her. But for me I like names that just flow and sound nice.
I always think of the first and middle name as trademarks lol if it doesn't sound like it could be trademarked, then don't do it.
