How can I get Nevaeh to burp big? I've been trying to burp her for 15 minutes now and nothing.

@dhamiphoenix she spits up so I don't do over the shoulder lol I usually sit her on my lap and hold her chin up and lean her forward a little bit but she just wont burp

It she eating too much? My boy spits up too but it gets the air out. Use a blanket or burn cloth for this one time.

I have done what you do but leaded him forward more which has worked great. That lean pushes the air out

@dhamiphoenix i dont think so. Shes breastfed and shes only 2 weeks

@andrewsmommy I do either the over the shoulder burp or if im feeding her and she's on me after she's done eating I let her do a tummy time on my tummy and I pat her back that way it honestly seems to help alot better than the over the shoulder burp.

@andrewsmommy, I never dealt with a kid that ate too much until my son. We dealt with spitting up and diaper rash that bled....i thought he was sick then they said it was yeast and the the meds made his rash worse then t was a possible food allergy but finally but the fifth dr we saw he said my son had been eating too much with explained everything and it started with spit up. If your baby starts having frothy green poops that's a sign too. It's too much foremilk and not enough hind. Giving that info just incase so your baby doesn't go through what mine did. It was horrible.

He was supposed to be getting 2oz a feeding but when I pumped to find out I was making 5-6oz and feeding him that and he seemed to still be fussy to I supplemented with formula. Waaaay too much food. You'd think a mom of three would know right lol 😂 ugh momming can be hard!

I agree with Celiesmokmy. That gentle tummy time helps push out the gas.

I had the same problem. I did the sitting with the lean but I would lean him forward then backwards, to the sides and then forward and backwards again which would get a burp. If that didn't work I would bounce him on my knee very gently but quickly and pat at the same time, it's awkward at first but always always got a big burp. A little spit up too but that's to be expected
