No. He isn't giving you anything. When having unprotected sex the skin on skin contact can mess with your ph and normal flora in the vagina. I have no clue why the doctor is saying that. We treat women every day for BV and none of there partners are treated. It's not an std or something that is given to you by a man. You can get BV from using a dildo because it something foreign in your area.

I can happen from douching, using soap down there, using sex oils and gels, from tampons. You can get it without being with a man at all

Yeah. They are definitely idiots. You can't treat him for something when he isn't doing it. It's just like a yeast infection. Women over time just get a build up of bacteria. Women normally carry bacteria and when you mix that with his during sexual intercourse it can cause BV. If he is using soap down there before you do it can be the cause of the BV.

I don't use tampons I don't douche and I use Unscented soaps we don't use oils or gels or anything I don't own dildos lol so I guess it's just from having sex with my husband and I guess he can just wait for sex because as of not it's causing me pain and to be uncomfortable and I think all the drs in the USA need to meet and get on the same pages so all of us women can stop being told one thing and they get told another from their drs lol @beebaby,

Giving him antibiotics wouldn't change anything for him because he had nothing to actually cure.

Well he sometimes doesn't shower after work which I have been telling his ass if he isn't gonna shower after work he isn't getting any from me because it's gross so maybe the few times I gave in when he didn't shower is what caused me the problems or maybe when he showered with his man soap it caused it all I know is these antibiotics suck they make me so sick @beebaby,

It is possible but a yeast infection shouldnt cause pain, more itchy and thick discharge like cottage cheese. It's more uncomfortable than painful but I guess everyone is different. They should have tested for that at the same time and could have determined it was yeast. It's the same test as BV. @caseyxo2017

@caseyxo2017, my urine came back fine it was the culture swab that showed the bacteria she said no yeast or anything she thinks I may have something going on with my ovaries or something will hopefully know Monday

Yes. I have a cyst on my ovary. It has hurt from time to time during my pregnancy

Yes. You can have a tilted uterus. It's common in some women
