I've used bumpers with my son he's almost a year old and I've had zero problems. Ever family is different. I survived with bumpers and I kid and my son is too. Good luck!

Toys r us has them called go safe alternative bumpers. I googled individual bumper pad for crib. Bed bath, toys r us, Amazon, buy buy baby and Wal-Mart carry them for $10 a package.

@short_essence Yeah, but the mesh is so thin it don't really serve a purpose. Those pole ones are smart. Wished it was around with my kids. Lol.

You can buy the single pole bumpers.

She will soon learn not to bump her head. Lol. Bumpers are not recommended at any age. Your bed looks perfect. I don't understand why people go out and buy all these "CUTE" bedding sets. None of that is beneficial to the baby, it's more a hazard than a cuteness.
