Yeh by the sounds of it @jessicahorn you probably will just go straight to having your waters broke if your already 3cm and you never no that could then get contractions going so you may not even need a drip? My actual labour after id had the drip lasted 2 hours and 21 minutes in total haha x

My waters had gone when I went in so I was just put on a drip which made contractions start! You'll be fine, just think of the end result, good luck☺️ x

I was 8 days over and my little boy wasn't moving I was rush off to get my waters broken he had pooed in me so they put me onto a drip straight away. Which I'm not gonna lie made it 100 times worse personally.. it was 17 hours till he finally arrived. But that was my experience yours hopefully will be alot better, can't wait till shes here. I had this string up there had some sort of thing on to get it started but it was uncomfortable bcz when I used to go to the toilet it would come out due to pressure so they will insert it again which was annoying nd thst meant it would take long for labour to start but it started in 5 hours I was 3 when she checked me

I was induced by pessary but if if doesn't work they put you on the hormone drip to speed it along, my experience wasn't great but the induction itself wasn't bad!x

That sounds really draining and long 😣 i had my daughter within 3 hours... im getting pains now on and off and im about 3cm dilated.. if my waters dont go tonight im being induced in the morning xx

Dont be frightened i was induced with harriet, it went ok ☺ They inserted a pessary tablet first which softens and brings down the cervix that can be left for up to 30 hours but luckily mine started to work straight away and by the early hours it fell out but had done its job and softened and lowered my cervix enough so i then had to wait for a bed on the labour ward when i eventually got it they broke my waters which was a little uncomfy but not painful and gave me an hour to see if id start contracting on my own, nothing happened so i was hooked up to the drip which they turn up every half hour and it all went from there x
