Debating on getting an epidural or not. I know I still have time and there's a good chance I'll change my mind once I'm actually in labor, but I keep hearing all these horror stories about getting an epidural, plus I have a small case of scoliosis in my lower back where they put the epidural at. Can y'all tell me your experience with epidural? Or without it?

By the time I actually wanted it it was to late I just did iv pain meds and honestly slept through most of my contractions I was not wanting the epidural because my mom had one and they timed it wrong and gave it to her during a contraction and it shot up and she was having trouble breathing

I said i wasn't gonna get it with my first but it the pain was so bad i ended up asking for one.. it was the best decision of my life lol i was able to enjoy being in labor but i had to get an emergency c-section like an hour after i got it. But i had no problems after it.

Mine failed. I have really bad scoliosis and they kept putting it in the wrong spot. After she finally claimed she got it right, it only worked for a few minutes in one leg. By the time they came in to fix it again I was already pushing. Honestly the pain of them fixing it over and over was worse than giving birth and feeling it all lol.

The best thing is not to go by others experiences . Do what you feel is best for you . I had the epidural and I'm great .

Ive told my doctors not to even offer me one, and im going to have my hubby their to not let me ask. Im going to be hell on a hostpital bed but nothin they havent seen before
