my parents always say if you ever need anything just ask.

asking for help makes you a stronger person.

the ONE time I ask them for help they make up excuses.

"oh we don't have enough gas" okay, I'll give you $50

"oh but what about the puppy"

bring the Damn puppy

"but your sister will be home alone"

She's 20 years old, she's a Damn adult, she'll be fine.

All I wanted was them to come over for two hours so I can take a shower and try and take a nap.

Everyone says sleep when the baby sleeps, how the hell are you supposed to do that when the baby NEVER sleeps!

She's been up for 6 hours.

When I lay her down when I think she is finally asleep, her eyes shoot right open.

I can't co sleep, Too afraid.

every time she falls asleep i have to pump and by the time that gets done, and I get comfortable it's time for her to eat again.

my husband is never home so I never see him. And I'm the one who gets up in the middle of the night to take care if her. I might as well be a single mom.

I was afraid to co sleep too but then found myself in a similar situation as you. My son would only sleep right after I nursed and was laying next to me. There are ways to co-sleep and not bed share. Being exhausted is not only dangerous to you but the baby as well. Especially being the only one getting up with her. May look into a basinet that attaches to your bed so baby can be near but in her own space.

That's frustrating I know how you feel tho! My mom has said the same thing!! She lives an hour away and I've even offered to meet her halfway and her response is always, oh we have plans already. So I'll give her a week notice in advance and she be like um...I gotta check my work schedule and get back to you.

It feel like you're alone in this and you are definitely not mama , were her for you to support and help you even though it's on this app! You are a good strong mother, your daughter is lucky to have such a dedicated mom! It must be tiring always having to do stuff when she's asleep but don't worry you'll get it all figured out! I remember the first two months I didn't sleep much, but you will in time mama!

@kimny, same here! I really wanted to co sleep bc she would wake the minute I put her down and if she was asleep after I layed her , she'd wake up within an hour! My bf encouraged me to sleep with her eventually after being so exhausted when she was about two months , we finally tried it! He said you're her mother, nothing is going to happen, it's in your blood and instincts to protect her, and he was right! Now five months later, we both get a good nights rest together

It's true. I was shocked how quickly I'd awaken if there was even the slightest change in her movement/breathing etc. Studies have shown that it's actually better to co-sleep bc it fosters independence since baby still get to smell you be close to you like they were in the womb. My husband on the other hand was out like a log and sleep right through the baby crying.

I slept when my baby slept. It's was hard to get on the baby's schedule at first but after a month I made the baby get on my schedule. I had a set wake up and sleep time. I let the baby dictate the nap times. Once we were in unison it became easier to nap when baby napped because we had a system.
