I haven't been on here since my son was a newborn, but I need opinions. My 5mo old seems to have a cold "stuffy" snotty nose, and a cough, seems congested when he coughs I feel like I can hear a bit mucus in it. I know if I take him to the doctor she's just gonna tell me to use the humidifier, I know you can't give babies medicine. So I'm just wondering if I'm right and should just ride it out and continue using humidifier and nose suction or what. Thanks in advance. ❤️

@beebaby, I didn't think it was so brittle, so I tried to gently ring it out because it says you gotta let it dry before putting it back in, which I don't get why honestly, and so I tried to get some of the excess water out of it and ended up ripping the whole thing in half
I took him to the doctor today just to be safe, and she told me to use saline to squirt in his nose to clear it, but honestly his nose is draining on its own, it'll go from snotty to runny. And his cough seems better. But I accidentally ripped his damn humidifier filter while cleaning it today, (make sure you do this frequently because I barely used his and it was disgusting!!) and so I have to wait until this weekend to go buy filters for it 😞😞 @beebaby

I'd take him to the dr if you can make an appointment, i did that with my daughter and she ended up getting worse and it turned into a respiratory cold and she was put on antibiotics

I swear sometimes I just need to renew my policy to not look at the comments in Facebook. I never used to. I don't know why I started. But the ignorance is real.
So I used my Doppler a few times today trying to find my baby's heartbeat. After a few failed attempts I think I finally found it! Problem is I don't know how to work my Doppler very well so I don't know how to pick up how many bpm there are. I guess I'm wondering that since I'm so early, is it possible for my baby's heart rate to seem a little "low"? Like its higher than my heart rate but when I recorded it on my phone it comes out to barely 98 beats or so and my heart was 80 beats in the recor...
Who all has a humidifier where the baby's sleeps? I no my house is stuffy an if I wake up with a stuffy nose I'm sure the baby will aswell..
I keep second guessing myself, I know I'm done having kids after this one. He is my second but first boy. I don't know if I should go through getting my tubes tied or not?? it just seems so invasive, unnatural and permanent! I don't know what to do??
