Labor Story!!

So as all you mamas know I was 40 weeks and 4 days already. I had an appointment Wednesday March 22nd at 2pm. Dr said still at 3cm but fully effaced. We had set to induce that coming Saturday at 8am. During the whole Dr appointment I was having small 10 minute apart contractions lasting only 2 minutes. The Dr said most likely I wouldn't make it to Saturday but no high hopes. I kept timing them all day. By 5pm the contractions were getting stronger and I could tell they were contractions not braxton hicks anymore. I called my cousin who is a doula by 8pm and she said it sounded like I was in early labor but probably wouldn't have baby for a few more days. I told her I kept feeling the need to push so she told me to go the bathroom and all of a sudden my water broke as soon as I sat down. I wasn't sure it was my water since Drs broke it for me with my 1st but I couldn't stop it from coming down. And it was only a little. By 9pm the contractions got soooo strong I told my BD lets go in and he refused to go cause he said theres no way I progressed within a few hours. I called my mom instead and she took me and he stayed home with Drew who was already in bed.. I called the hospital and they said they had no more beds😡 And that I had to go to the other hospital. They called the other hospital for me and got me all checked in. By 11pm I was checked in and in the worst pain ever. Now I know what mamas say by the contractions get worse when your water breaks. The Drs did an ultrasound to make sure she was still head down and said my water bag was still intact but only half of it broke and baby was laying at the whole so the rest of the water was behind her. They never checked my cervix AT ALL. Because my water had broke they didn't want to check constantly and risk an infection. By 12am I was screaming and crying in agony for the epidural. I kept sending my mom to tell them to hurry up. I got it by 12:30 and it kicked in sooo fast. My little sister called my BD so he can come and my MIL watched our son. He got there and nothing but constant contractions. The Dr came back and said it didnt look like I was going to have the baby anytime soon so by 4am my mom and BD went home to get some sleep and my sister stayed with me. We fell asleep and at 6am the dr came back and checked me and said I had to start pushing. We rushed to call my mom and BD back who barely got any sleep😂 It took them a while but they came back and as soon as they got there the Dr said I need to push fast because babys head was already trying to come out. I did a big push and more of my water broke everywhere like projectile squirted 😂 I did 3 more pushed and she was out! Then weirdly the rest of my water broke.

Nevaeh was born March 23rd at 8:21am weighing 7lbs 15oz and 21.5 inches.
