Not for me, but, have any of you done the blood test to determine the gender? How far along do you have to be? Can you just ask for it? What does the process entail? Thanks! 💕

I believe its 14 weeks to be done. I tried to get it done with my 2nd but the Dr said they really only do it for high risk pregnancies

@andrewsmommy, ohhh! Well then there is no point as there is a 2D/3D gender ultrasound reveal place near us that can determined gender at 13 weeks. Might as well just go that. Less invasive. Thank you for responding! I was thinking the blood test could be done super early on, but I guess I was wrong!

I had my blood taken at 9 weeks and got a phone call with the results at 12 weeks. It's a very expensive test if your just getting it done just to know. I had it done in GA and it was covered by my insurance otherwise you'd have to pay for it. It's usually only done for high risk or certain reasons.

@babynessa, we would pay whatever really, but that's just too late unfortunately. My sisters husband deploys on the 20th, and we just wanted them to be able to be together to find out the gender since he will be gone for so long. But, that's okay! 🤗 We are going to just find out at 13 weeks and do a Skype call. So, at least even though they won't be physically together, they can still find out at the same moment. 😊
