For the first week and a half my son loved being swaddled now he hates it and thrashes around trying to get free while crying. When I don't swaddle him he sleeps good but still often startles himself awake and will rub his face for 1-5 minutes until either he falls back asleep or I soothe him back to sleep.

My son hated being swaddled so I didn't . He did startle in his sleepb and would wake up ....I just did the same as you make sure he's okay and soothe him back to sleep ....I forget when they begin to outgroe the startle relfex but it does end so don't worryb

I just looked it up they don't fully outgrow it until 6months...

Lol it gets easier tho as they get older they learn to sleep thru it .. What helped me was out rock and sleep....

Yes as I'm talking to my son a startled and twitched quite a few times but is still sleep

Awh, okay, he startles himself at least 3-6 times a night and that's normally what wakes him up
