Anyone getting progesterone shots to prevent preterm labor?

Yes I did them with my son in 2012 which I had a clerage n now in two weeks I have to go to my specialist n take them because I had my clerage last month n need it to help with my pregnancy they sting a little n leave u sore but I think it's the best option for me because I'm high risk for my age n my cervix I hate hate shots but it helped with the pregnancy of my son so with this pregnancy I'm gonna have to suck up the pain and deal...

I just had a baby in 2015, I didn't have to have the shots, but the ob said it's something new, came out last year she said! Ughh

I did for almost 5 months. I was told they hurt but they didn't for me. They are thick tho so be ready for that. They rotated sides for me. Left one week, right the next. The only discomfort was if I had a nurse who didn't know what they were doing. Honestly I think that was key for me. But honestly with as crazy as my pregnancies have been, they told me this was the only way to go full term (that and a cerclauge) and it is hands down worth it for me. You got this, just remember what it does for baby. Emma was born at 21 weeks and progesterone would have helped with her. So when I did with Victoria, she was 35 weeks but we weren't in the hospital any extra because we did some much prep in the womb. I do everything as natural as I can and try not to take meds but this was one thing I was glad for. If you have questions or anything, I'm here for you!

@beebaby had my daughter early, water broke, don't remember the number of months I was, but she was 4lbs 7 oz, she stayed in the hospital about 2 to 3 weeks

They might start mine in a few weeks if I keep on getting contractions. 😕

Do I really have to get them!! My pregnancy with my son in 2015 was just fine, no complications at all, carried him all the way
