Any tips to help my daughter like her carseat more ? She screams in it non stop until she's out

@dreamermom, I would, there's some cheaper ones on the market that have good padding. Our 4evers were more expensive but they have really good padding and last a long while

@santistevanmommie lol yeah, the padding in this one sucks... I thought about getting some foam, and adding another thin layer... but decided I'd rather not risk changing the 'safety' aspect of it... so I think we are just going to buy another!

I pump an bottle feed formula. I nurse on demand too. So i definitely know she's not hungry. Her butt just must be uncomfortable lol @dreamermom

Yup I'm pretty sure that's what's wrong! I'm going to borrow a new carseat for my daughter if she likes it I'll buy a new car seat. My mom works for hertz so they have new carseats on hand @santistevanmommie

Are you still exclusively breastfeeding? I ask because my daughter was the same way until i started pumping it in a bottle before leaving of making a bottle of formula. Then I could see she was getting 3-4 ounces and she wasn't hungry. She does way better now. She still fusses at times but only if she has a dirty diaper or it's time to eat again.

Have you thought about maybe there's not enough padding for her little booty?

Caleigha has always been a car seat hater, but when we got her convertible seat it came with the extra butt padding and it's made her seat much more enjoyable for her. She doesn't fuss nearly as much or often.

@aliakr yeah we had a car seat/stroller combo... she loved it... but this stand alone seat she hates... and I know exactly what you mean... it grinds a nerve in my brain if she's screaming and crying while I'm trying to drive... it can't be safe! 😣

I like the car seat+stroller combo idea. I had one of those myself and the boys just sat in their seat while we went for walks and either fell sleep or looked at everything wide eyed 😂

Exactly I don't even care how much it is anymore I need her to be comfortable an not scream the entire time she's in it without stopping. It's so nerve-wracking trying to drive with a baby holding their breath because she screams so much! @dreamermom

I wish!!! That's what my mom suggested to. But even at home she hates it! Screams after 5 minutes.. I'm thinking maybe it's cause it's uncomfortable. Since its a cheaper one I got as a gift @rhealize

I'm in the same place... my daughter loved her first car seat... but a friend gave us one that their child grew out of (still has a couple of years until it expires) and she HATES it... we are considering buying her another because she gets really grumpy being in it for more than about 15 minutes!

You can try keeping the car seat inside the house when you're home. Let her explore and play around with it without being strapped in so she associates it with being good or fun. If it has a handle bar on it, you can get some toys to hook on it as well. 😊

Some babies do just hate the car seat!

I wish my daughter was the same. I'm so desperate...I'm going to just buy another carseat an stroller system an see if it helps.. It's so bad @babyking1

I wish I could help but my baby loves the car seat and sleeps every car ride lol
