70% effaced and a fingertip dilated. What dose this mean? Am I close?

@mooneyynk, a finger tip not even a one I was 5 days past due as well my advise walk walk power walk and on yea walk when u feel the pressure continue faster I still believe I put my body into labor I came home told hubby I'm walking till Labor Day or night started at 6pm power walking by 11pm I was in full labor with 5 min apart contraction arrive to hospital 4am and had him4pm so almost exactly 24 hr from when I said those words my baby was born

I'm a visual person myself sometimes it's easier to see things then to just read words

@annaerandolph, i wish my doctor would of just told me in terms of measurements instead of finger tips lol

My doctor never told me anything about being effaced but he said I'm a fingertip dilated, which he said was 1/2 cm. And I've been at 1/2 cm for 3 weeks 😫

Here is a picture that explains it but I just saw finger tip dilated means your 2cm only 8 more cms left

Oh okay I heard 70% and got excited lol

It all depends on your body I was 50% effaced and 1 cm dilated for about a month then I before I got induced I was 1.5 and 50% everyone is different
