*Maybe my experience can save your life ***Never doubt yourself.. even when the so called expert medical staff think your a Drama Queen or Hypochondria... I went to the walk in clinic because of onset (1 day) flu symptoms and doc told me it will pass you have a virus and sent me home 🤔... Next day I went to emergency because neo citron, spoonful of honey and lemon concoctions didn't work and I knew something was up. The nurse gave me a couple of inhalers to take and blow into a machine and told me come on you can do better than that 😱. Then the attending physician who was looking after me preceded to ask me questions and told me (like I'm a drama queen) that I have what she had last week and not to be paranoid that it's a clot everytime i get a cold 😏. Me and my smart ass insisted that I know this is the same feeling I had last year May. Secondly i have had asthma since I was 4, in and out of hospital for pneumonia and asthma attacks all my life. You think at 40 i should know what an Asthma attack feels like (duh). She then says ok I'm going to do some blood work. 1 1/2 hours later... results come back. I don't see the inhalers anymore except a prescription and two pills 🙄. She doesn't wanna me to say I told you so... so she tells me it seems I may have a slight infection (infection after 1 day of having a virus and so called asthma attack) ok... then she further explains that she has done a D Dimer test (for blood clots) and my test showed elevation, in other words it was positive as she put it. She then says " you have to come back tomorrow to have a nuclear scan to be really sure you have a lung clot. Well well well.. I'm alive and yesterday morning they found a new clot in the same left lung 😥. Moral of my story, trust God to put the best medical staff in your path, use discernment and never doubt yourself even if you may be wrong. Love you ladies 😘

I can't imagine what you and your family are going though. unfortunately we all deal with stress differently. your husband probably thinks speaking of death will speak it into existence. just let him know that u just need support. .. sometimes guys don't realize that them.not handling things is just adding stress to us. it's hard not to think about what's going on with you, just stay strong and faith and prayer. we are all here for you. well they will be looking into my blood pressure then as well. it was kinda high but given the news that could be a factor. @pnutbutta my lung is so sore girl.. Hubby seems different like it's bothering him and he doesn't know how to handle it. it's overwhelming ya know.. I have a hard time falling asleep and he says don't think about it. I cannot not think about it. I feel it everytime I cough. So frustrating. He can't handle regular stress of life much less medical issues that can ultimately lead to death. he doesn't wanna talk about death etc.. I know not everyone can but given the situation it's kinda important to when something like this happens. he thinks I should be feeling better because I am taking stronger pills. I'm like the pills thin my blood and keep my clot from enlarging. It doesn't make the clot disappear, the body takes care of the clot or clots naturally and time frame could be weeks days months etc..
My prescription is for three weeks but I should expect a call from a specialist in Hematology anyday now. I'm sure it will be a lot of back and forth. Trying to find where it came from, why and plan @pnutbutta
@pnutbutta yes indeed.. but they prayed for my deliverance 🤗... so grateful... they were shocked cause they couldn't understand why I kept coughing so much probably (in their minds, stay sick butt at home) 😂

and that's the thing @pnutbutta .. it really does feel like the common cold just amplified (sum up one of your worst flu times lasting a week) and hitting you like in one day like instantly. very easy to go undetected. something in my spirit knew it was to aggressive to quickly but first time around didn't know it was clot but this time around I was certain.. hasn't been a year yet not hard to forget the ordeal.
Oh yes and the nerve of belittling me like I have no idea because of her 20 yrs experience. Doctors should never let their ego get the best of them 😉 @pnutbutta
thanks for your post. sometimes we do just listen to what the dr says and take it as gold. it would of been so easy for u to just take the inhalers and go back home. ..that would mean it's not as bad as u thought. but u r right, we know our bodies and we should follow our gut feelings.
@tired @mommieof2babies @elijahsmommy2017 You know your body and always always get a second opinion. It sucks sitting in a waiting room but it can save your life. Who would have guess flu symptoms with shortness of breath could more than likely mean pulmonary embolism 🤔. Plus they told me yesterday pregnant women are 3x higher risk of having one 😱. I'm like ppl need to talk about this more often. Birth control pills can give us clots too like wth is wrong the silence on this issue is deadly. Thanks for your kind words ladies 😍
Wow...always follow your gut!!! It's so important for health care professionals to treat each person as there own individual case and not assume and push people away so easily and tell them its a virus.
