Just saw this post but I was and still am on subutex and have had my baby 💚 didn't read any of the other comments but feel free tok message me if you have any questions
@thydivinemommy ☝️☝️. &Just read through your posts above. You can direct message me for a more personal conversation. But I also have been on Suboxone for a little more than 3 years & to be honest thats a very long time. Just got switched to subutex about 3 months ago bc my 1st doc was just an ass & didn't really care about his patients as much as he did for the money. But I finally got in with a good caring doc!! & Your obgyn is correct about taking your dose down
But it's possible wondering what mg your on, I know I read you but your dosage down by a 1/3rd on one day. NOT good for that early in pregnancy mama! But if u wanna talk you can send me a message. Your not alone😊
Hey I'm currently on subutex. I didn't see this post. Was wondering from a post you posted a few days later about physc meds. Was curious to know what physc meds worked for you?? Been battling the same thing. But mostly think from my ADD. & Just been treading light water with some the physc meds they have offered
Thank you for commenting! I really appreciate it. I'm hoping to find some support on here. I'm 8 weeks but they're referring me to see a dr about the subutex. I'm on suboxone now but it's not the best for pregnant women so that's why they're switching. I'm at a really good Drs office so I love how well they're taking care of me. My priorities are theirs.
That's encouraging to hear. And thanks! I'm trying to do better this pregnancy was planned as opposed to my daughter being an accident. But she's the best thing that ever happened to me.
That's awesome momma! Good job!🙌🙏💪👏 Ur so early in ur pregnancy right now, I think u could wean down & eventually off. My cousin was on oxycontin (alot) & weaned off before her 2nd trimester & her baby came out perfect
@lifewithlynniejade88, yes I just eliminated about a third of my dose yesterday. But I would like to get down to almost nothing if possible. I just know I pregnancy (I just talked to my ob today) that they like you to stay on the same dose for the whole pregnancy so the baby doesn't suffer any side effects inside the womb.
@kattrobinson oh ok so you know what it is. And yes I'm sure you've heard of people using it incorrectly it can very easily be taken like a street drug. But if you have your life together and want to continue to do the right thing, it can help ease the transition. I was actually posting this because I'm curious to how other moms have cut back.
It's used primarily for people who are trying to get clean from opiates or heroine etc. @kattrobinson My brother is on methadone & has been for 2 years. Have they started weaning u off?? @thydivinemommy
I've heard of it now that you'll told me what it is. I work at a jail and I meet a lot of people who are on it or have spouses on it, I just never knew the name.
It's a maintenance medication for opioid dependence. I've been clean for almost three years and this has what helped me get there. Some people need it, some people don't. Usually I don't share about it but I would like some support and I'm at the point now where I just don't care if I'm open enough for people to see the dirt. I want real people in my life.
